FAQS
What is voice synthesis and how is it different from text-to-speech?
Text-to-speech converts text to audio using pre-built AI voices. Voice synthesis goes further by creating custom voice models, cloning a specific voice, or generating unique vocal characteristics. It is used for branded voices, custom AI assistants, and personalized audio content.
Can a freelancer clone my voice or a brand voice for ongoing use?
Yes. Voice cloning is possible using tools like ElevenLabs, but both parties must have full legal rights to any voice being cloned. Personal consent is required, and source recordings must be handled according to platform guidelines.
Are there restrictions on what voice synthesis can be used for?
Yes. Creating voice content that impersonates real people without consent, spreads misinformation, or is used for deception is strictly prohibited. BotPool does not permit the creation of deepfakes or unauthorized voice reproductions.
