Codebase Audit + Cleanup Plan — Flutter or Next.js — 3 days

About this Gig
A clean view of what's actually broken in your codebase, a prioritized written plan to fix it, and 3 fixes shipped as a pull request you can merge today. 3 days. No fluff. For founders and small teams who suspect their codebase has accumulated quiet damage (slow build times, scary deployments, brittle features) but do not have time to scope a full refactor. WHY THIS SERVICE EXISTS Most codebases under 18 months old already carry technical debt that slows shipping velocity by 30 to 50 percent. The debt is rarely catastrophic. It is usually a list of small things: a folder structure that no longer fits, state management copy-paste, missing tests on critical paths, deprecated dependencies, dead code, unused environment variables, error handling gaps. You do not need a 6-week refactor. You need an outside engineer to look at it cold, tell you what is actually broken vs cosmetic, and ship the top 3 fixes so you see immediate value before deciding what to do next. WHAT YOU GET - Day 1: 10 to 15 minute Loom walkthrough of your repository. I narrate what I see as I read the code, flagging issues in real time as I find them. - Day 2: Written prioritized cleanup checklist (15 to 25 items). Each item has: severity (critical, important, nice-to-have), estimated time to fix, and a 1-line description of the recommended approach. - Day 3: Top 3 highest-impact fixes implemented and pushed as a pull request to your repo. Conventional commit messages. Inline comments explaining the change. Ready for you to review and merge. - Optional 20-minute sync call at the end to walk through findings and answer questions. SUPPORTED STACKS - Flutter and FlutterFlow projects (Dart, FlutterFlow Builder export, mobile or web) - Next.js and React projects (TypeScript or JavaScript) - Firebase backends (Auth, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Storage) - Supabase backends (Postgres, RLS, Edge Functions) - Stripe integrations (Subscriptions, Connect, webhooks) TIMELINE — 3 DAYS Day 1. Repository walkthrough. Loom recorded and sent by end of day. Day 2. Written checklist sent. 15 to 25 prioritized items. Day 3. Top 3 fixes implemented and pushed as a pull request. Optional 20-minute sync call. NOT INCLUDED - Full refactor or rewrite (that is a separate scope, see my SaaS MVP or FlutterFlow Rewrite services) - Major new features (separate scope) - Backend migration (Firebase to Supabase, etc.) — separate scope - Test suite buildout beyond the 3 fixes - Ongoing maintenance after handoff (offered as separate monthly retainer) PROCESS Step 1. You send me a read-only invite to your GitHub or GitLab repository and a 2 sentence note on what you want me to look at most closely. Step 2. Full $500 paid upfront. Work starts the next business day. Step 3. Day 1: Loom delivered. Day 2: Checklist delivered. Day 3: Pull request delivered. Optional sync call. Step 4. If you find the audit valuable, the next step is usually a 1-week or 2-week followup engagement to ship the rest of the checklist. Quoted separately based on your priorities. PROOF - 4 published FlutterFlow Marketplace templates downloaded by developers worldwide: DreamHome Booking, Advanced Calendar, PDF Viewer Widgets, Content Creator Toolkit. I review FlutterFlow projects from inside the Builder and as exported Dart. - BookBed. Live production Flutter + Firebase + Stripe Connect booking platform shipped solo in pure Dart. I know the shape of a clean Flutter codebase because I built one. - Pizzeria Bestek. Live production Next.js + Supabase + Stripe ordering platform. Same eye for what production-ready means on web. - 22 portfolio projects across mobile, web, and design systems available on my profile. OWNERSHIP The pull request is on your repo. The Loom and checklist are yours. I sign anything you need (NDA, IP assignment) before access is granted. HOW I WORK CET timezone. Async-first. 24-hour response window. AI-augmented workflow with GitHub-first version control. SCOPE NOTE This 3-day fixed price covers small to medium codebases (up to about 30,000 lines of code, single repo, standard framework setup). If your codebase is significantly larger (monorepo, multiple services, 100,000 plus lines), reply with details and I will quote a custom 5-day or 1-week extended audit within 24 hours.
Requirements
To send you an accurate audit and timeline, I need to know: 1. STACK. Is this a Flutter + FlutterFlow project, a Next.js or React web app, or a hybrid (mobile + web with shared backend)? 2. SIZE. Roughly how many screens or routes? Estimated lines of code if you know? Single repository or monorepo? 3. AGE. How long has the codebase been alive? How many active contributors over its lifetime? 4. CURRENT PAIN. What are you most worried about? (slow build times, scary deployments, hard-to-onboard new devs, bug velocity going up, performance issues, all of the above) 5. RECENT CHANGES. Has the codebase been through any major migrations or rewrites in the last 6 months? Any features you know are fragile? 6. WHAT YOU WANT ME TO LOOK AT MOST CLOSELY. One area, one file, one feature, or "look at all of it"? 7. ACCESS. Can you give me read-only GitHub or GitLab invite? Do I need to sign an NDA before access is granted? (I will, no problem) 8. BUDGET CHECK. This service is fixed at $500 for 3 days and covers small to medium codebases. If your project is significantly larger (multi-repo, 100k+ lines), I will quote a custom 5-day or 1-week scope. Within 24 hours of receiving your answers and repo access, I send back: - Confirmation of scope and timeline - A note on whether 3 days is the right size for your codebase or whether you should consider the extended audit - Start date for the audit work
